  • Crossover cable

You have created what is called a crossover cable that is available in any electronics shop. It is handy to know how to change a standard cable on the fly, though, so I commend your video and gave you a good rating. = )

  • Thanks for the honesty

I still have a lot to work on with my videos appreciate your the honesty The video was long and i didn't shrink it with DivX thats why there's poor quality on the pop-ups. i was going to re-upload a clearer version but i see it got almost 1000 hits overnight and i didn't want to loose them

  • WOW...

Thats a nifty trick, but if your going to transfer data... just use a flash drive... much quicker and alot less work...

    • quicker?

I don't think a flash drive would be quicker. because your transferring the data at a lower speed and you have to do it twice. with this you get around 10MPS and you only have to do it once. plus you would get internet between the 2 of them networked like this.

    • Quicker as in...

less work. Yeah the data transfer will take longer with a flash drive ... but I mean for lazy people, (ME) all the wire cutting and stripping would take to long. No offense to you or your idea... Awesome idea by the way!

    • lol Yeah me to!

Yeah even with this i still use flash drives a lot!

  • it would be useful

but nowadays NICs detect whether cable is crossed or not and work in a proper way..

    • maybe on some

Hi, i'm not sure what NIC's are but my computer wouldnt work just pluging a normal ethernet cable and i have also tried it on a lot of others and unless it's a crossover cable or a cable like this video shows how to make It wont work. maybe on some machines but i have a newer Asus custom machine running XP pro and laptop runnin home and it just plugging ethernet cables from one to the other does nothing?

  • good tutorial, buttttttttt

Voice instruction is poor. Pop up windows are blur. Don't know what the 'F' going on.
