9 1/2 Weeks - "Slave to Love" [18+]

I think it's because porn was skyrocketing on videotape, and audiences didn't want to give this film a chance. Also, I don't think American audiences accepted erotic drama until the early 90s with stuff like "Basic Instinct" --- it was finally cool to watch a sexy film without being called a pervert. I don't really care for this movie, but it's been unfairly overlooked and bashed.

Hai ragione!Se ripenso a quel periodo, forse perchè era l'adolescenza, c'era la consapevolezza di voler vivere a cuor leggero e credere che tutto fosse vivo, possibile, da gustare...Quegli anni li ho spesi veramente bene, in modo sano, ma fecendo tutto quello che mi passava per la testa...e meno male!!!!
Ti parla una che dal riscimento è finita al medioevo!

Anni 80 , che dire , c'era ancora tanto da scoprire e gustare , che donne che musiche che voglia di vivere e di amare senza sballi innaturali e ingiustificati come molti ( fortunatamente non tutti ) invece fanno , spendendo male il loro tempo e i migliori anni che sono la nostra unica vera ricchezza ! Credetemi non è retorica , a 40 anni ( e non sono molti ) gli anni spesi male si rimpiangono per sempre .

I don't understand why in some countries this movie is considered a classic, and in the US people don't give it much credit. I went to several movie rental stores and none of them had it, i even asked a few employees and they went like "Huh? never heard." Why is that?

They are both so hot in this movie. They both have the looks and the bods. You can't help wonder if they actually had something going on during the filming. It would be interesting to know....
