    i think what you said about acknowledging feelings is about forgiveness too. Forgiveness means opening up and letting something actually BE what it is and by that allowing it to change in your mind- how it makes you feel... instead of avoiding it- trying to hold it at arms length or control it by 'blaming'. When we do that we keep it as it was, and never let it change in our minds.
    yes it will always be that bad thing that happened, but it can be more than that if we let it. There IS good and bad in everything - and if we acknowledge the bad and let ourselves feel however we will about it, then we can begin to see what good there might be in it. If we blame... we can never concieve of any good in it.
    First thing then , i think you wiill agree, is to forgive yourself for having those felings-
