Thaurlach Defeated June 14, 2008 Pt 1 of 6

This is the Keepers of the Ale's (Silverlode) second time in defeating Thaurlach the balrog. Varies mistakes can be pointed out. This is an excellent source for training. This video starts off me gettting rezed. Unfortunately from last video, Thaurlach moved towards the sigil and when he jumped I died again. The others on the floor moved him away a bit and that helps most of the people on the sigil. I died a total of 3 times in 3 minutes or less. Very bad. Egelwolf (a Champion) is dpsing while Glathiriel is tanking him. At 22k, I'm back up. A hope token was popped then down to the floor running. I pop my max morale buff. And try to take aggro at first. The raid tells me not to so I back off to simple taunting attacks, reserving my Engage and Challenge the Darkness for 10k. (I do wanna keep up with Egel and Glath on the aggro table for when Thaurlach goes nuts... and he will. Challenge, Enrage and CTD will only bump you up so much unless all hit, which still takes time.) At 11k, my challenge is back up and I get hope wiped. I didn't want to die because a lot have rezzes had already been used. When some of my dread went back off, I run back to CTD, Guardian's Pledge, (then got aggro), Challenged, Guardian's Ward and Engage. A conjunction pops and we're supposed to go all yellow. My fumble is I went red. Later, we realize that it's better to go red because we need that quick damage over the DOT. I lost aggro again after the conjunction (delaying my ability to taunt.) Glath took a huge beating, dropping from 27,367 to 4068 morale. People begin to cower like crazy and two seconds later HE FALLS!!
