While shooting some underwater footage off the Great Barrier Reef, I came across this mermaid? I've just arrived to this spot. I was setting up my camera. I could hardly see anything the moment this happened. I didn't fully realise what I had filmed until I saw the footage

    ...that this is fake but we cannot deny the fact that making any kind of video does require a lotta effort and talent.

      I have a degree in film production and I use it. There are a ton of different effects that can be done to make this look real. Even some of the most rudimentary commonly available computer programs can make it look "real". Look up the show "The Man from Atlantis" and you will understand.

      So why didn't the cameraman follow this supposed mermaid? He/she clearly was wearing SCUBA gear, so there was no identifiable hazard in doing so.

      And next time don't be so gullible, nor assume that the rest of the world is, either.
