So For Whom the Belles Toll? Originally pegged for the West Coast Midnight Run's D'Ark Night Film Festival, this documentary generated so much internal controversy at this little publishing division that they felt it would be best to let those members of its staff dissect it and assemble it as they please as an amateur fan-made non-profit flick. Trouble is this is a piece of news documentary and I had a hard time spinning it as entertainment fiction. So after all the fireworks subside this Fourth of July weekend, before you head to the theater to watch the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Batman - The Dark Knight Returns or Hancock be sure to review this piece and who knows what kind of ice breaker conversation starter it can be while you wait in line at the theater.
