- The Fort Worth Stockyards is the history book of the livestock industry in Texas. Each chapter is represented by the original bricks and mortar, the wood corrals, the men, and the music that are all still a part of the Stockyards today. The Stockyards Museum is located in the classic 1902 Livestock Exchange building in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. The newest attraction in the Fort Worth Stockyards is the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, which pays tribute to 72 of the top cowboys and cowgirls in Texas. The museum is located in Barn A, in what was once the horse and mule barns in the Stockyards. If the nightlife is the only life for you, then the Fort Worth Stockyards are just where you need to be. Billy Bob's Texas is the world's largest honky-tonk, but there are other places to scoot your boots as well. Also in the Stockyards, you can find Texas or Tejano music to dance to or just have a beer and listen. The Fort Worth Historic Stockyards is also home to many great stores to pick up something special. There is plenty of parking available surrounding the Stock Yards, one option is The Old Lumber Yard 2317 North Houston St. Ft. Worth TX 76106.
