People beat up on a child molester in Mexico. Not that I can blame them or anything, but isn't that what the authorities are for? So that we dont' all take justice in to our own hands?

    All you people who "think" that these people are wrong for what they did
    to that animal ,no wait animals don't molest their own young,
    then you dont have kids.
    If you did, you would not condemn these people.
    Unfortunetly in and south of the middle americas "most" of the authorities (meaning police and judges) are corrupt and taking bribes are a common occurrence
    So vigilante "justice" is the only type of justice these people will ever get
    I've lived and seen these "mordidas" (mordidas = bites = bribes) by the so called protecters of the peace
    Thanks to these corrupt officials my aunt's murderer got off with no more than a
    "fine" of $200 U.S.
    even when we caught his ass in the house, with the knife, still stabbing her

    i agree with you. my husband is hispanic and he tells me all the time there is no justice in mexico so i dont blame this people for taking justice into their own hands. if this had happened to my child, i think i would have done alot worse to the man and im really sorry to hear about what happened to your aunt.

    All thats needed is one bullet! Of course, you have to be weary of this type of justice. I seem to recall that during the spanish inquisition, many people where wrongly accused of herasy just so someone could take their land or eliminate them as competition. A trial should always occur that is fair and impartial. If the evidence shows he is guilt, then he is just one bullet away from a cure.

    This was in the new's a couple of days ago, here in Norway:

    "A 53-year-old male got 60 day's jailtime, ( although 20 of these, he can choose to work in some department in his city) for s exual abuse of his two step-daugther's throughout an periode of 6 year's.

    He also have to pay each girl 2500 $ (american $)"

    40 days in jail, where he get good food, play pool, watch TV, his own cell, and the chance of getting assaulted by other inmates are close to zero..

    5000 $ = two month's paycheck...

    I wouldn't even call this a punishment.. It's a joke.. A really, really sad one..

    I think the laws must be dissuasive. But when we look at some countries the laws are not really deterrent, and some criminals make use of it. They kill, rape, swaddle, rob , and get no punishment. After they're released, they commit new crimes. And in a country that has a law system like that, maybe the best thing is punishing them like that. Punishments must be deterrent, if they rob, we must cut one of his/her fingers, if they rape someone, we must cut his f*king d*ck, maybe that's not faithful but there must be someting that scares criminals.

    Is that this man was not found guilty by a jury of his peers.

    Vigilante justice is no substitute for justice.

    That being said, I think all child molesters should have their genitals cut off. It is a sick and demonic crime that steals innocence from something completely pure. It leaves the victim with emotional scars that can only be healed by the love of Jesus Christ. It affects every aspect of their life, including future relationships. My girlfriend still deals with these issues everyday... and by association I do too. It takes a great deal of patience and understanding to be able to comprehend what they are going through. And even still, with the most vivid imagination, what I imagine pales in comparison to what she's been through. It's impossible for me to put myself in her shoes, and I will never fully understand it. All i can do is love her and try to show her that everyday the pain becomes a little duller.

    I digress... The fact is. This man deserves a trial. If he doesn't get one, then no one is safe. What if your ex girlfriend accuses you of rape. You don't get a trial... you get the crap kicked out of you. That is not justice. and if it can happen to him it can happen to anyone. I'm not proclaiming this man innocent or guilty, that is not my place. All i am saying is that there is a system set up for a reason. And I understand.... personally... that the system is flawed. It is overseen by men and men are fallible. But the underlying purpose behind it is good. And that purpose should be protected and we should fight to keep it so.

      Many people who are accused are completely innocent. It is impossible to tell if an accused man (or woman) is acutally guilty until you find the truth.. and even convictions can be wrong. But the fact remains.. people who don't deserve to be punished are punished. There is no way we can stop it, but we can prevent this.

      It is a tough call to give a rapist a trial.. but you have to make it fair for everyone, even when that someone (most probably) stole the innocence of a child.
