Microsoft Surface
Surface..is the biggest challenge there is. How are you going to prevent these things from: shattering, scratch, greasy finger prints, and glare.

  I saw a demonstration (on here I think) of taking a razor blade and various instruments to some of the newer glass covered handhelds - not a scratch.

I liked the coaster bit
but as a whole, it's basically an ordinary touch screen. Maybe they weren't showing that capability, but the newer screens that can accept multiple touches simultaneously or interact with multiple objects seem much neater.
