Iran was called Persia in the world before 1930. Locally, people said Iran to it. After 1930 Reza Shah ruled to say Iran not Persia.
After all Persia is the land of Persians and Movlavi has been Persian too,

Hahahah very funny. When Khorasan existed(the great khorasan and not the province in Iran), Iran and Afghanistan didnt exist. They were all one great khorasan. In 18-- (i dont remember it) Ahmad Shah Abdali took Afghanistan's independenc and gave it the name Afghanistan. But Balkh e bastan is now a part op Afghanistan and not Iran. :)

Yes, he is known to be an Persian poet in the world.for some reason he is better know in America the here in UK!!!
His name is "Maulana Jalaluddin Balkhi Rumi"

Do you know Rumi is an Iranian and Persian Poet?
I don't know why he called "Rumi" we know him as "Molana Jalaledin Balkhi" in Iran, If there be one reason to learn persian I think it is "Rumi" to know and underestand his poems, his unblivebele spiritual poems.

If everyone followed Rumis words, this world would be a paradise.
