That may be the dumbest statement ever posted here. Of course it's fake, he's a professional magician! He never claims to have supernatural powers and he's not defrauding anyone for any reason other than entertainment.
IF YOU think these are "paid" audience, go to the Alladin and see him in Vegas. They are NOT paid stooges, he's just a skilled magician. This is his specialty. David Blaine does his stuff on the streets, Chris does most of his around Vegas and in settings on or near the Alladin, (Changing names, I hear, the Casino hotel was bought out). David Copperfield does his on a big stage and in arenas. No difference. Just entertainment. I am a fan of both David Blaine and Criss Angel, and I think this trick is pretty impressive. I have just read David Blaines book and he explains that a magician is an actor playing the part of a magician, so you need a character. So what he was saying that magic is "fake" and there is a scientific or mathmatical way of doing a trick, its just "how?"

A good trick is one the magician can perform himself with no premeditated setup.
CA needs camera crews, prior staging, and actors. He's not a magician, hes an ACTING like one.

after he kicked his shoes off, th metal strips had a strong adhesive, causing him to continue his walk. (another thing- notice how the camera never focused on is bottoms of his feet?)

I actually figured out how this works! His shoes have bottoms lined with special strips of metal that, when activated by the electricity in a series of batteries strapped around the magician's torso but hidden by his shirt or jacket, energizes any molecules of water they contact, causing them to draw together, effectively increasing the water's surface tension by a factor of more than a million. If you do not believe me, make it yourself!

It amazing to me how people compare Jesus walking on water to Criss Angel walking on water. He is a entertainer that has NEVER claimed supernatural powers. Actually he debunks people who claim they do. (watch phenomena NBC fight) So, when you compare jesus and criss its you who is comparing them. This "illusion" was performed in the same sense of the flying or floating illusions he has done in the past. For those of you who thinks its glass he is walking on glass...think again.

Pretty obvious, even if a person could swim under him, it's a strong pane of glass just under the waters surface, easy, hard to see under the water and he just slowly walks across it with and act, it would go from one end to another and u can swim under it.

there was glass underneath him about a third of a foot. You saw him walking carefully so he wont break it. the glass was conected on one of the pool walls to the other. the reason it was submurged in is so you wont see it from above.

Okay here is the explanation....
Rewatch this video and after you do please pay attention to the girl swimming underneath of him. Do you see the bubbles hit the top of the surface? No you hopefully didn't. And then the large step he takes when his shoe falls off? All his steps are baby steps until he took the one large step. So here it is 2 pieces of plexiglass underneath of his feet. It was well performed and well acted and well practiced. Easy trick well performed.

Dozent this trick operate on the principle of a Non-newtonian fluid? I think it is, cuz he steps really GENTLE, so the liquid will act more like a SOLID block rather than a soft liquid such as normal water. I don't kno anything!.

Thin but strong dull plastic fibers that were stretched from one side of the pool to the others. While everyone was concentrating on his feet, the plastic lines were under his arms and in motion, thus giving him the impetus and a successful illusion.

As a "street magician," Angel always has a small crowd. Could it just possibly be that all are shills and it's more fraud than magic?

The fact of the matter is quite simple...
Clever people can realise:
1. its plastic (cut in funny shapes to allow his bad actors to swim through)
2. His only talent is balance. He obvoiusly is concentrating on not falling off.
3. Near the middle he takes a much bigger step just over the area where someone went through.
4. Right near the end you can actually see the line in the water.
5. Everyone start clapping and going mad when he steps onto land. Wouldn't most people freak out when he get get on the water?

the majority are saying it's glass or some other transparent medium on which he is standing... the problem with that is that there are people swimming infront of him as well as below, which means the 2 strip idea can work unless they're moving, and if thats the case you'd see them deform the image of the bottom of the pool.

A girl swims below him and bubbles up air, which doesn't hit anything (or it would break up) and the water pops up into his shoes, that means it somehow was unrestricted. So the "how" is still missing on this one.

If you notice his foot goes down about the same each time he takes a step and the water mark is straight on his pants. I would say probably plastic---lexan.

Take a great looking, hott young guy like Criss Angel and update the "look" of the performer and combine that with Criss' ability to do some unusual illusions in a public forum...on the Vegas strip...and you can't loose. NOW - this is wat really gives it away when u droppes his shoe in the water, notice his next step is PAST where he dropped his shoe. this is becuase there is no glass in that spot so they can fool u into thinking he really is doing it. It's an illusion as he was attached by invisible threads and the people there were paid. If you Dont know - that first criss angel was a superb break dancer. That's why he was successful of making this illusion as it looks that he was really walking in water.

I am not saying I know how to do it... I am just wondering why he is balancing and why he almost falls. And If I could walk on water I think I would walk around a little not just in a straight line. ;)

When criss angel does tricks they are all fake. Magic is NOT REAL. It is simply manipulating peoples minds and making them think what they r seeing is actually real. Their brains cannot think of any other explanation so their brains think that it is real since their is no other explanation. As for the "paid-audiences" they could just go on the news and tell everybody how Criss does his tricks and get a bunch of money and get famous. So i really dont think that Criss payes the "pre audience people" or w/e u want to call them. He is simply manipulating his audiences minds to make them think that what he is doing is actually real. 1 more thing i saw him doing a trick with a knife and 4 cups. he smashed his hand down on a cup where the knife wasnt. He also PUT HIS HAND ON THE PERSONS FOREHEAD WHO ARRANGED THE CUPS. Im guessing that when he put his hand on a cup, the person wasnt nervouse and his heartbeat and head did not pound much. But when Criss put his hand on the cup where the knife was, the person probably started to sweat and get nervous and all shaky. Thats how Criss knew where the knife was. Thats wat im thinking.

No doubt this is just magic used to entertain and is fake regardless. But walking on water is'nt impossible, If you could gather enough chi and force it down your legs and extend it a inch out of your body with enough chi which would be pretty damn hard, it would be possible. Now you must be thinking if this is true then why is'nt everyone doing it? right? Well because we all gave up on the old way a long long damn time ago. Not many people practice using their chi in those kind of ways anymore, there are some people usually in othe rcountries like china that have a incredible control over their chi but not many. It takes years of training and most of our society is just too damn lazy.

it is very easy to figure this one out. I must say though that Chriss Angel is MUCH better than David Blaine, HOWEVER, most of Blaine's stuff is not edited where Angel's is. Although there are several people in a live audience around Chriss when he performs his magic, I can guarantee you that some of the people are assistants.
Now, the one thing I have to tell you is that we just call ourselves illusionists because we don't want to freak people out too badly. If they knew the psychic powers that we illusionists really do posess, they would lock us up but we would just escape anyway.

to people who wonder how he did it, there probably a piece of clear plastic just thick enough for him to walk on with posts holding it up in spots. If you've ever, say, dropped a piece of glass in a really clear, white (not bluish) pool, it seemingly disappears. and you could still swim under him. and the part where he drops the clogs, there was no definite angle, it changed 4 or 5 times before it hit the pool floor.

who cares how he did it or under what circumstances. all i know is that was cool as anything.

The ppl in the pool are in on it. when the camera is shown from above he looks like he is suspended. his feet go into the water at different depths each time so he cant be walking on water BUT when the camera is from the side he IS walking on something because his weight shifts differently. could be walking on glass because even if it were thick u couldnt see it.
