No, it is not real, because if you follow the melody - the same note can't be hit in two different places. Being a pianist, I can assure you, but still looks amusing.

I too am a pianist, and I concur. If you follow it closely enough you see go down the piano when the melody actually goes up. Definitely fake, albeit somewhat amusing.

After we see the cameraman on the stage, he says "your killing me" or something... i don't remember..but anyway.. THEN if you look carefully, he hits te piano with a ball, BUT it don't make a sound.. That is all folks, IT'S OFFICIALLY FAKE...

Your watching it on the internet. You gotta take that into account bud. It lags and the sound may not match right up with what you see. It happens all the time. So you cannot base if it is real or fake off what you see on the internet...

I acually witnessed this guy play at the tropicana hotel in Las Vegas. This clip is the least he can do. He's actually an amazing performer. Did so many other mind boggling acts. Highly recommend that anyone who goes to Vegas check this guy out.

It's not just the piano trick that he's good at, in Vegas there were other people "trying" to do this
Just got back from Vegas and this is REAL! He can juggle tons of stuff, very fast and did this act with a xylophone. This guy also just performed for the Queen of England....so there. He is AWESOME! Very funny too! Someone made a comment about him not getting laid, but must be more of a man than some, because he is married with twin girls!!!

The juggler's name is something like Wally Eastwick, not 100% sure of the Eastwick, and he had an act during the Folies Bergere at the Tropicana Hotel in Vegas. The first time I saw him I was amazed and went back the second time a year later hoping he was still there. He was and was as great as the first time. The last time was probably 4 or 5 years ago. Anyway, he is for real and the best!

In sec. 94 he plays the same note in two different places. (It does it constantly, but it is very obvious in sec. 94) So he only controls the tempo, not the pitch, of the notes. I think it is fake.

the piano will play the tune - where he hits it is immaterial - but he does have to do it to the rythym - so it's not quite as impressive as it looks

By erdeMondragon 1149206823 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt would be so nice if it was real, because he's obviously put so much effort into it, but it really seems that despite his (obvious) talent at juggling, at times the music and the keys he drops the balls on don't match up... for example -- there are a few times where there are 2 or 3 notes that sound the same, but the balls drop on different keys: look at 1:10-1:11, and 1:33-1:34. also, its really clear, say, in 1:45-1:48, the chord goes up- up- up- down (in pitch), but the balls go up-down -up -down..
but it was really entertaining the first couple of times, before i noticed this, though.

Don't believe, that such a performance could be taken over without an error, while even normal piano presentments have errors. The guy knows the rythm and the place where he should approximately through the balls, the piano does the rest.

As a Montrealer, I have seen many shows at this festival and I would recognize this stage anywhere! :-)
