A penalty kick thats recognized throughout the soccerworld as a classic should be treated with a bit of respect no matter what you think of the looks of it. "il cucciaio" is a Totti special and is now also the title of one (or more) books. Also, if youve "scored a better penalty then that", well congratulations for being able to score a cool goal in the comfort of your own back yard (or maybe if your a big shot in some crappy lower division team), try doing it here in the Euro cup.

- okay i'll explain it
  normally when you take a penalty, you wan't to make sure it goes in, so you give it a big whack and leave the goalie no chance. but the geniuses amongst the players and those with nerves of steel always come up with special ways to fool the goalie. this took a lot of skill and even more nerve (a place in the euro 2000 final was at stake).
  man, i even feel pressure when i kick a penalty after training this is crazy
