      Ataturk came in power as a muslim by the help of british.he demolished one of the biggiest islamic empires and tried to destroy isalm in turkey.and he realized it succesfully.he killed many of muslim clerics for the main reason they were opposing to him.as i have heared near death he was crying to much of his death pains.and after his death even the ground couldent accept his body.his body now is over the ground covered with marmar.

    Thank goodness Turks aren't bogged down with the past. The nation continues to forge ahead in leaps and bounds. It's risen 10 places in GDP in 20 years to 17th. Its jumped 38 places in exports in only 30 years, quadrupling its dollar value by 4 in the last 5 years. The IMKB is 5th largest in the world stock exchange in yield. etc etc. People can criticise it all they want. It's a gorgeous country with friendly people and it's forging ahead with the ideals instilled in it from its rich and diverse culture and people like Ataturk. Who cares about his or any other Turks persuasions.
