    Hey, I am Moroccan muslim and I really can't understand your arguments ENTantidote. I bet you must be from some arab country in middle east. You people are just having too much strict vision of religion, culture, and social behavior. I think this is not related to the fact that you are muslim, but to the fact that you are arab. It's in your culture to be closed to evolution. Here in Morocco, we are moslty berber people (NOT arab), and we would accept very much somebody making fun of islam (we have a lot of popular jokes about islam by the way), because berbers are traditionally open-minded. We believe in the truths of islam, but we know our faith is more important. Because believing there is only one god and thinking about him all the time is what makes you good person. It is independent from islam. Islam is just a very small part. God will always love good people, independently of their religion. Also, as long as you don't harm other people, you can be free doing whatever you want. Be free and free other people from your restrictions. Only god can judge people, not you. So let them free!       Looking at this page of comments it's amazing that people can end up having a conversation about violence and very negative stuff off the back of a comic sketch. I think that whatever religion you choose to follow and whichever name you happen to call the creator, he really doesn't mind too much. In the Christian text I believe JC himself said that "My father's house is one of many mansions" - so whichever path you may have chosen to reach the top of the mountain - the mountain is fundamentally the same - and it's also big enough to deal with a little humour, of this I'm sure. We're all talking to the same guy - and I think he'd be pretty disappointed with the way we are treating each other as we scrabble over who's right or wrong. I think he'd say "You've all completely missed the point!"

      Not to say that your point of view is wrong, but if you think about what Akinson is saying... he's implying that jesus is not the son of any god, and had no powers, so more than a joke, it's a statement as well. Comedians express points of views like any other artist ( for example bill hicks) . What I'm saying is that I see how a christian could get offended by this. Although they should get a laugh as well.

  • We all need to chill out

    Human nature by design is to fight for survival, not religon. We all need to stop using religon as an excuse to kill each other because in the end, we're all going to one of two places no matter what religon you happen to be. However, while we're here, we need to make the best out of this messed up situation called life. The middle east is at fault, the western countries are at fault, but in the end, while we're here, we have to live together. I bet that if we got rid of all of the politicians and let the average Joe from the middle east and the average Joe from the USA run their respective countries, there probably wouldn't be any fighting at all. It's not the civillians of these countries that are fighting, we are ALL being lied to by our governments, and their the ones that are fighting. I say, let every man do what he wants as long as he doesn't hurt his neighbor. Then there will be peace. Until then, the USA will be the stongest, wealthiest country and everyone else will be upset with that.
