Out of Print is a sweet litle ode to the counterculture of the 80s and 90s, a time when unearthing quality culture was a real treasure hunt. For more Danny Plotnick films, www.dannyplotnick.com

  • these kids nowadays

wouldn't understand the pot party of yesterday, when a day lasted a day, when one in need meant everybody not maybe somebody, when yea worked hard for a dollar and shared it,where if yea had a cheater slick on your schwinn bicycle you were as cool as the guy with the 6 foot sissy bar, where the Reese peanut buttercup and the Pepsi stood beside the same crowd as the biker with the pot pipe and the budweiser,,awe,if the cassette was loud and ch-om FM were spouting out a little Dave's not home from cheech and chong, awe, the softness of the day and the hardness of the way, dude thanks for the flashbacks,

  • Great Flashback!

I've been there and done that so many times--especially the VHS dubbing! Thanks for the contact buzz!

  • dubb-le the fun

Those were the days, when a hot mix tape was eagerly passed among friends. I still can't bring myself to part with that box of cassettes and VHS tapes in the basement. Maybe my kids will discover "Fat City Death Sled" in a few years...

  • Sinister

I miss the crude brilliance of cassette dubbing.

  • those were the days

i'll never forget finding the cleanest repo man soundtrack on vinyl for a quarter or stumbling into Cerebus the Aardvark #52 for five bucks (both worth much more if they were found in their proper places) on my many rounds of thrift shopping in the pre-ebay days. Nice piece Danny, thanks for the memories.
