Catfish like this have NO TEETH. They have the fishy equivalent of sandpaper. What is it going to do, gum you to death? Go watch Dirty Jobs. They do a clip on fishing for channel cats. You stick your hand under rocks and trees underwater and feel around. If you find one you stick your hand in its mouth and pull it out.
