It was most likely wasabi (pale green paste)
It's not a chilli - it doesn't burn ur taste buds.

Let me just say that, that kid took it EXTREMELY WELL!!!
I didn't see anything green, so I don't think it was wasabi, I think it might have been karashi (a bit hotter than wasabi and looks brown or red sometimes). And yes, I agree, those don't kill your tastebuds but how do they feel on your nosewalls, anyways? =P
