Ready to die
At the tender age of 6 I was ready to die because of this film. Shown 2-3 times each school year till I was 9. Still haunts a little at age 47.

  Yep...they had diamond picknick baskets back then. They sure don't make em like they used to!
  
  Some say that this campain was done to help comfort people so that they didn't feel vulnerable, but I completly disagree.
  
  I think this was a campaign of terror. Most people tried to get on with their lives, but this dman advert was on all the time and constantly reminding people of the cold war, reminding them that they should be afraid. Simple propaganda to keep people freightened. Why? Because you can get people to do anything you want when they are afraid, even vote for the same government again, pass new bills that normally would be considered scandalous. Don't believe me? War on Terror, Bush elected twice. Patriot act? Now in England, we don't talk about the war on terror because there simply isn't one, and we got bombed too, so f**king what?? In the US there are constant reminders of this so called war on terror and constant reminders how vulnerable the people are and how 'they' can strike ANYWHERE at ANY TIME! There's even been programs about how they can strike in small midwest towns! WTF?? Who the f**k is going to bomb a 5,000 pop town in the middle of nowhere? If that isn't trying to get people afraid I don't know what is.
