I know this video has been up for a while, but i just found it. Wish I knew how to add to the rating, i would give it 5 immediately. I loved it when Kurt won the World Idol, and I have laughed since then that it has never been held again. I guess when you try to rig the competition, and it backfires, no use trying again!

The power in Kurts voice is incredible, I am no expert, but it appeared to me in his solo in the song that that he went throught two or 3 octaves at the end of it - even if not it his control was very impressive. The four of them are a great ensemble, all distinctive, yet complimentary voices, and I have heard that it is more difficult to sing sitting, as harder to expand the diaphram. I wish they would tour North America, I would bring my family in a flash to their concert.

Well done, I echo all who say that we need more of this classy music, and less wailing and screaming from Ms Clarkson et al.

This was done very well. It also goes to show that you DO NOT have to look good to be able to sing well, nor do you have to scream. This also can give true hope to musically gifted childeren that don't look like the hype that media leads people to believe. This kind of music is a lot like an emotion. You have to just let it flow out of you. Again, excellent to see something of this quality on MetaCafe.com.

This is my most favourite song ever, and in my oppinion this is one of the best versions. Can anyone tell me who this band is?????

Espen Lind (also known as Sway, at least here in Norway =p), Askil Holm, Alejandro Fuentes (who sounds a lot like David Gray) and Kurt Nilsen (World Idol winner).
Both Kurt and Alejandro are former Idol contestants. Espen Lind is probably most known for the lovely "When Susanna Cries". Anyways, they really nail this song...had gotten a bit tired of all the versions, but this one certainly didn't hurt=)

The last one was Kurt Nilsen, the guy who won the only World Idol contest that was ever hold, where he beat Kelly Clarkson. He is about the only one from the norwegian version of American Idol that really could sing. He was the first winner ever of the contest, and the fourth contest was finished a month ago.

What a grand chorous of discordant voices all with a time to shine solo and then harmonize but a song with simplicity of instrument and profound theme- but so true the song can bring you up no matter where you may be I would hope- why is it so unknown. Spread the joy

I heard the Jeff Buckley soundtrack played on TV show and was haunted by it. Did a Google search and found this version, which I think is totally awesome. I sit at my computer, put it on repeat, sit back, close my eyes and find total bliss! Thank you!

Im a Norwegian my self is this is what makes me prud of being a norwegian... The sound is of course playback from the the performance they had in their consert... But its really nice... I can still remember wathcing Kurt Nilsen getting 10 pointers from almost everybody... That was great fro Norway, since they never have done very well in talent contests... And he beat Kelly Clarkson who is now a really good singer... Awsome Good!! But Kurt is better:P I know this commment is long buit just have to say Fuentes has a really special voice that calm you down in a real nice way... Also goes for Espen and Askil who is two of the greatest singers in Norway....

I loved the Wainwright version in Shrek. Unfortunately in the movie they cut 1/2 the lyrics. I've been trying to hear the whole song on the internet. I heard a portion of Wainwright, but I swear his voice was richer on Shrek than what I heard. Major disappointment. I found your version, and listening to it, I got that sense of peacefullness I've been craving. Thank you. I think that perhaps my anxiety driven insomnia may be held at bay tonight by hearing your absoluely stunning intepretation. Many, many thanks, and may God bless all of you. There is an incredible amount of talent here. Their simplicity of dress tells me of humbleness and well being unlike those who have added there praises though tainted with judgemental attributes, careful, for the hangmans noose prepared for another will fit quite well around ones own neck.

Isn't amazing that people can still post negative comments about something so pretty. I wish I knew where to hear more from them
