This is a video of me making a couple of home made non typical box traps and catching wild ring necked pheasants (Hens).
How to build a trap. How to make a bird trap.
These traps can be modified in size and bait to catch many different species of wild animals alive.
None of the birds in this video were harvested, they were all released unharmed.
today i set up a trap like yours...Tomorrow i will check it...i cant wait ! But i still have a question: How much time i shall wait?

As for squirrels search the internet for your local squirrel species and what it naturally forages for.
can you use this type of trap for other animals such as rabbits and squirrels? if yes what type of bait do you suggest?

There are no quail in my area. Although you should be able to find some information on the internet on the natural foraging and feeding habits of quail :-)
