You are the perfect example of how the rest of the world will view Blacks. I'm not sure what this video is supposed to accomplish, but it definately does not define the way I was raised as a black woman.
I believe that everyone is a product of their environment and household values. So if a person chooses to allow their children to stay out all night and hang on the corner with friends, that's not a black issue, that's just an issue that should be handled at that home.
Please DO NOT allow the media to help you "understand" a specific race. All the issues we face as Blacks are the same issues that every race faces.
As for the statistics that are being quoted, I would like to see a comparison of actual numbers for each race. Blacks are MINORITIES, correct? So of course our numbers will seem a bit higher b/c it's usually compared to our population. It is sad either way you present it, but one thing I can take out of these high numbers is that: at least they are getting tested. However, more precautions must be practiced responsibly.
All I'm really trying to say is to watch these types of shows with an open mind and don't be naive. Every household is NOT the same be it Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Latino, Irish, etc.. All whites do not have it easy, all white women do not "honor" their husbands, all non-black girls don't have children after they graduate from high school.
IT'S ALL ABOUT HOW YOU WERE RAISED AND YOUR BELIEFS!!
