Never once did I even elude to the idea that saddam should have stayed in power. What I am saying is that if bush had told the American people that saddam is a bad guy and we need to go liberate the people there, he would not have got support. I voted for Bush, simply because I am an American who makes money only to lose 35% to taxes, and 10-20% to social security, medicare, etc. The democrates only want to take more of my hard earned money, and tax me more because I spent money on an education, worked hard and live the life I deserve only because I make more than most american's. First, if all the oil was gone it would be the U.S. that would fall first. Dubai has oil, yes, but it's also the finacial capital of the Middle East. I'm sure it would get buy. Why do you think they're diversifying and buying your ports.
Second, I think you missed an economics class or two. The reason you out source is due to the vast amounts of inexpensive good americans consume each day. You can't make your own cars not because you don't have the resources. It's because if an american built the car, an american wouldn't beable to afford it.
The standard of living in the U.S. is simply too high. Needlessly high. No one should live like that and no one needs to.

These are two different things. Just because you have a larger GDP does not mean you have a larger GDP per capita. The UAE economy is made up mainly of guest workers, yes even more so than California. Per capita, UAE citizens make for than Californians.
