There are Muslims who claim these things are the wishes of Allah. It is incredibly unfortunate, and there have been others who have taught the same violence in the name of other religions as well. The Spanish Inquisition comes to mind. How many slaughtered in the name of God? I am an American, and I claim no one religion, because I believe that Allah and God and The Great Spirit and every name given to one supreme deity are one and the same. The teachings of most religions are the same... be one of the good guys. Spreading your desire for evil by using religion is selfish and irresponsible, and those who are guilty of it will be judged for eternity, regardless of the name they use for God or Allah.

I was first taught religion by Christians, in a Christian church, but I have read the Qur'an.

The Qur'an was believed to have been revealed to the prophet Muhammad, and refers to events that are found also in the Bible and the Torah. If the Qur'an was revealed to Muhammad, and the Bible to Jesus Christ, and both are believed to be the Word of God/Allah, then how can we say we worship different things?

We are all children of the same God. The truth is there to read if you look beyond what your teacher tells you. Open your eyes and read the scriptures of each religion, and you will see that there is no difference between us, and our enmity is being taught by a select few who will not be judged favorably when their time comes to answer for their actions.

Stop listening to what others believe. Open the Bible and the Qur'an. read them both and you will see it for yourself. We are all children of Allah/God, and we have fought for thousands of years over the difference of a single word.

Would cherry pie taste different if you spoke of it in a different language?
