Demolition in Japan

I wonder if it's not demolition, but construction? Is this building being constructed floor by floor and jacked up using hydraulics?

Why would you demolish a building this way when you could use heavy machinery to pull it down in sections? Or use explosives to bring it down?

I think the poster is pulling our legs, and I'd rather know what is actually taking place!

stop fighting, the method is to save the building but rid the support beams, so the style is to put explosives at the base of the beams deep in the ground and it has to sink instead of shattering, so thats that. goodnight.

i didn't see any Kabooom in this video and no building calshing down in a couple of seconds.That's why the japanesse people are ahead of all others countrys in the world,they use their heads :D

How it is done as shown? Someone please explaine. How did they sunk that building into the earth floor by floor, like being lower down by jack? With that extreme balance? All I knew is that all building must stand on an extremely firmed foundation before it be stand. How to sink a building that way?

Doesn't seem like a demolition to me. Looks more like a bizarre way of sinking ground supports.

Japan has overcrowded cities and building are close together, this way it's safer for the whole neighbourhood and no dangerous clouds of dust when you use explosives. Those who comment otherwise are idiots and didn't really evaluate the situation. enuff said!

When I pause and play very fast to watch in slow motion(sort of), it looks like those two workers in the middle of the video by themselves are walking backwards as the building is lowered. I'm pretty sure this is not demolition, but a very neat way to construct a building in a tight space. Go Japan anyway for being efficient!
