it depends....
The song is apache by the sugar hill gang released in 1981, which sugarhill gang sampled a track of the same name by a group called bongo bands, which is actually a cover apache by the shadows 1960. This version of the song is sugarhill gang, but bongo bands version has been sampled over and over again as it is just an instrumental. so it depends on which version you have heard.
