    It's nice to see such Espirit De Corps and confidence in a young man. It sure is sad that instilling values of pride, unity, teamwork, and work ethic in your child is now considered brainwashing.

    first off i want to say this is a cute video and i watched it 5 million time because it made my heart melt any ways......

    those who had negative things to say about i ask you to watch it again and note not one word about death violence or war was mentioned. i also ask you to put yourself in the situation say you were a fire fighter or anything for that matter and had a jingle or something that went along with your job wouldn't you want your kid to learn it and have fun with it? i know i would! now my husband is about to graduate from the marines boot came in 16 days and i'll have to say going into it i was angry, but most of all scared because i knew he would have to lay down his life maybe someday for our country and i would be left ot raise our 6 month old son alone and if he desided to teach our son a jingle from boot camp such as this and then die for what he believed in and mt son remembered it i would be happy because yes my son may not have his daddy around all the time and may lose him to war but he will always have that memory of him and his daddy together doing a jingle and that will be so presious to him. don't think of it as brain wash think of it in the mannor of this is a dad trying to make an impresstion on his sons life so that his son can grow up remembering something positive and fun about his dad if god forbid something happens to him.... thanks for reading this and i hope this helped you to understand alittle more god bless everyone and our men of service......

      I can't argue with that. It pisses me off to no end to take orders from someone who's never seen combat, nor been deployed to the remotest and harshest environments in the world.

      And we're (as in we, the members of the US military branches) supposed to trust them to know how best to prepare us?


      Something else, as well (this is not directed at you, Kaijyuu); Where do people get off thinking they truly know the intentions of the US? Is each and every loudmouth out there a member of the US Department of Defense? Are you really just Donald Rumsfeld under twenty or so different login names?

      Of course not.

      These are people who, for whatever reason, need something to be angry about and protest. They base their opinions, not facts, on what they see (mis)represented by the media, whatever handy rumor has been created, or on crackpot "theorists" bent on scaring the bejesus out of the general public through their conjured conspiracies. But to what end? If they were to simply state their beliefs just as they are, an opinion and nothing more, then there wouldn't be nearly as much arguing and... well, foolish, machismo posturing to have to endure in these "discussions".

      I've been a member of the US Air Force for seven years now. I'm not stupid enough to believe I know what our leaders' intentions really are. The rest of you (unless you've shown and documented your amazing telepathic abilities) should do the same.
