Horrible Crane Accident

look, a human life is worth alot, and its even worst to die because of a human failure
think 2 sec. would you think its fun to have a mother, fater, sister, brother,... that is dead? i don't think so! and if its a guy from iran, holland or the us there are still people that really feel sad about it (family, friends, etc.)

Hey people we are scoffing at the laws of physics, and statistically we're going to get a devastating blow to remind us the powers we're manipulating can backfire.

I care about ANYONE who dies undeservedly (unike Saddam may he rot in hell or Charles Manson -they should get on with it with his ass), but there is an element/degree of danger/risk we knowingly put outselves at when we pursue industrial progress. This pursuit and the tecknologies which empower us to advance our society are inherently dangerous -i.e. cranes. Hey people we are scoffing at the laws of physics

The world's largest crawler crane is Mammoets Demag 12,600.

The crane was already out of chart. The lift should not have been made. A gust of wind caused this accident. Mammoet finished the job.

That was, at the time, the biggest crawler crane in the world, Big Blue. That accident killed 3 ironworkers. No special effects about that. That structure is the Brewers baseball stadium.
