i dont even see she felt guilty about what she did, all she care is when to get out. and how horrible that jail is. i hope she realizes what she did was even more horrible.

    • Yeah

She doesn't even seem to realize that she committed a crime. They try to make her out to be an innocent victim. Why is it that society feels that women should not be punished for their crimes.
As for the woman they executed. She was a murderer.
Here's a good question. Would she still feel the same if she was caught with the drugs back in the U.S.? She would still go to prison, right? Would she still be playing the role of innocent victim?

  • The problem is, heroin trafficking is a

huge scourge on the planet. Millions of people's lives are ruined by this drug. The reason there is such a high profit incentive is that the risks of jail and the death penalty are so high. You hoped to get the profit without the risks, and it blew up in your face. You may as well have put a gun to your head and pulled the trigger. It's too late to complain after your brains are all over the wall.

I'm afraid she should have checked the laws of the country - what went in her head at the time- were humans we can decide whats right n whats wrong- we have too many people affected with drugs/prostitution

  • So the lesson is

people who break the law and traffic drugs should be willing to pay the consequences if and when they are caught. I got that, sympathy I don't.

    • Totally Agree

The tears, the "Poor Little Me" routine......Ya...none of it worked on me either. Guess you should have thought about it first, Sweetie. Oh - and you can pretty much hang up the idea of an 8th Amendment Appeal. They don't give a crap if you think its cruel and unusual punishment.

  • How people have changed, people have no ...

Ok she did a crime, but compare it with other crimes? what about the serial killers, the child molesters, men who beat women and children, the drunk driver.
OK, she did a bad thing, but so do many other people who do worse crimes and
get no or little punishment. If she was a rich, influencial white male, she would not be in that jail or any other jail, she would be walking the streets.

Regardless of that, we must have compassion for others, without compassion
and understanding it makes us on equal par with less superior animals.

We need to care for one another, caring is learnt, if we don't show it, it will never exist.

  • Untouchable

I feel untouchable whenever I go to Mexico even as a law abiding citizen (oops! I meant abiding person).

Could have she felt untouchable while in her crime at another country?
