The leopard would of left the cage on its own, if they had of just given it time, it was probably feeling a bit scared from the bumpy ride in the back of the truck and felt safe in the cage for that moment. Its instinct for survival would kick in and it would not want to remain in a cage where it could be cornered by possible predators.... Example: Humans with a stick... started to poke at the caged leopard. The natural instinct of any animal when threatend is fight, and the leopard, fought back, If they had of decied to just wait instead of being impatient and wanting to hurry up and get the job done quickly, this whole thing probably could of been avoided.

if i wa tht person i wuld just punch that leopard or squish its head through the window.

I work with cats. You do not antagonise them during their release. Their territorial instinct is to respond to confrontation. I doubt very much this poor fellow was properly trained. The fault lies with whoever failed to train him properly.

I work with medium-sized cats and have had some experience with big cats. If he hadn't poked at the leopard it most probably would have left him alone.

The territorial behaviour of leopards is such that invading their personal space (with a stick, for example) is taken as a challenge.

Big cats ignore humans in vehicles as a general rule. The general rule is also to not draw attention to yourself.

The fault here is that many of these wildlife managers are not adequately trained. The blame lies squarely on the shoulders of whomever was in charge.

the reason the film crew don't help is because it's an american film, and they don't care about the guy getting mauled cos he's african, racist pigs. americans go over to africa and cruise around in jeeps driven by a local guy who puts his butt on the line constantly for 3c an hour, and they cruise around exploiting an already poverty stricken country, not caring about who they squash and how much theyr making things worst for the country, so long as they get a decent shot or two. obviously, they don't give a stuff
