I think the branding was worse for me the the cutting. its not just the pain but the smell of burning flesh as well. Cool video though. I have never seen a cutting this large.

Its called "Scarification"
Its a diferent way to produce an image on the skin with out ink. Its a very traditional thing for many cultures and many people who are really in to extreme body modification get it done. Although i have not seen any piece this big before, it is quite nuts.

People are freaked out by what they don't understand and generally they condemn it. It really didn't hurt and it went a little deeper than this guy's scarification. About a 1/3 of an inch. I guess what I am trying to get at is it is the person's choice and those who don't understand won't understand it-ever. People who think it's wrong, consider this... Not so long ago, piercings were considered sick, even male earrings. My grandmother won't even let me in her house with my earring in, and I've had it for 8 or 9 years. It just shows that people are overly sensitve about things that are unfamiliar to them. Scarification is becoming more and more popular. So get used to it.

it would be full of scar tissues in the region the skin is scraped off, and there will be puckering and crusting, but it can be prevented by applying placental extracts. in that case the epidermis will simply regrow without scarring. unless the wounds catch infection, that is. but in either case, there won't be much of the pretty design to look at. i wonder if this is the first customer this guy is experimenting on, or he is just stupidly sadist. for there will be nothing cool about the end result anyway!

Actually you can have scar tissue removed. I think it's usually done by skin grafting- removing skin cells from another part of the body then growing more of the skin cells in a controlled lab setting, then attaching the new skin in place of the scar tissue. It's commonly used in repairing burn victims. so why are you so judgemental, don't like it, don't get one. easy.
