How To Unlock A Cell Phone - Globalunlock.com

So why would anyone do this? What's the point of unlocking the phone? It costs around $50 to get the unlock code, and does nothing other than let you change SIM cards? The only use I could think of is to use a phone to access a provider that doesn't offer the phone model, i.e. using an iPhone to access a network other than AT&T. But, from what I know, you can't just get SIM cards at the local dime store, so even if you unlocked your phone, you'd still have to have access to a programmed SIM card for the provider you wish to use.

I fail to see how this is a worthwhile service even if offered for free, but you're charging a great deal of money for it.

As for saving money and it being worth the fee. We estimate savings a client a $100 for each unlock we do.
