The traditional paintball mine uses a 12 gram CO2 and a piercing knob which the player steps on. The problem with this is that it uses CO2 cartridges and it also has to be buried. With this idea, a mine can simply be placed on the ground, or only slightly buried instead of having to dig a 6 inch hole. I'm going to try to make a decent one for later, but this is all I got for now.
