    This is not new; we have been using this method for decades in the construction filed. We called them blow out patch.

      In England we call them Blow Job patches - same idea I think.

      You'll often hear plasterers telling their apprentices to do a blow job for them - it's part of the learning process and a useful skill for them to learn for their later careers.

    years to invent? You must be very slow. This is low tech and thought about it one night and went to build my drywall plug the next day. I used a dremel tool with some funny looking drill bit to cut clean hole and plug using existing plastic lids.
