    mr poopers almost had it, there no "pockets" or anything. It's really a pretty simple trick without too much sleight of hand needed. It just consists of 3 cards and a piece of a card. When you see the faces at the beginning what looks like a 5 of spades is just a piece of a 5 of spades covering a 4 of hearts. Watch the video and you'll see the rest of how its done. not really that complicated but a very nice effect.

    I'm no expert but im quite beautiful.. you might want to know that when the camera is being exposed to the front of the cards.. its much brighter than when exposed to the back of the cards.. this is what makes the lighting change.. its a real trick! no editing.. it involves 4 cards though..

      I did a similar trick when I was 7. The simplest explanation is usually the right one. And in this case, it's easier for this guy to cut the corner off of a 5 then it would be for him to edit the tape.

      hard to explain, but ill try
      look at the very start, when hes showing all the cards, he cut off the top corner of a 5, and attached it to the bottom 4, in such a way as to make a pocket (think corner of an envelope) on the 4, so the real card in the middle (always a 4) goes inside the pocket, and shows the face of the fake 5 (thats what the envelope is made of,
      you never see the middle of that bottom card, even at the end, he places the top 4 over the middle of the bottom 4, covering it up.

      If he had moved the cards before doing the trick, and not had them sooooo exactly set up (look at how hard he's clinching them at the start)
      I'd go with camera trick, but thats not what this is, its a rigged card.

      I just like to try to figure things out.
      When I see a trick or something, I try to pick it apart and figure out a way to do it myself.

      What i posted would work for me.

      I kinda agree with the guy thats says its not a part of the card but a peice he is holding.
      Thats could very easily be true.
      BUT
      I have no talent for slight of hand, and didnt really see a time/place where he could have ditched the peice, and the way he dropped the card, and flipped them, them being in perfect position to not need to be spread out to show both cards, lead me to think that the peice of 5 is attached to the 4 in some way.
