you have your facts wrong, to own a machinegun in the US you need a class 3 weapons license which is hassle to obtain, it requires a background check by the FBI. only law abding citizens are allowed to own weapons here. the US is a freedom loving country in fact we are so free as to be able to own and enjoy fully auto weapons. so it is not stupid or frightening, you are just ignorant of the facts.

Don't get me wrong, I was in the military and I like guns. But the fact that in America you can get a fully automatic weapon without any problems is just frightening, because the rate of fire of the AK47 is 600 rounds/min. This means you will empty a 30 round clip in 3 sec. And you give this to the general public - SMART. AK47 is a ASSAULT RIFLE and it was designed strictly for military use. Allowing people to have fully automatic weapons is just plain stupid.
