I am going off on a bit of a tangent, but it is common for Americans to claim they are the strongest or most powerful nation hands down, however doesn't Russia have the most Nuclear warheads out of any nation (not that this is an accurate measure of power, just stating this to say that the USA is the most powerful nation is highly arguable). USA does have a lot of influence of the world in terms of their commercialist ways (not neccesarliy bad).

The reason why the USA is getting a lot of bad press is because of the their recent invasion of Iraq. I'm not going to discuss the reasons why Iraq wasn't a neccessary target (since this topic has been debated dry), but rather I will say that their government is neglecting their own people. The tax dollars are going towards this war which is highly considered irrational, meanwhile cities and even states are being left with high poverty and thus crime and drug rates. Videos such as this are representitive of this fact.

I have nothing against people having patriotism for their country however I myself could not stand behind a government who looks after its own interest (the institue of the government itself) over the people it's supposed to represent.
