Ask.com, the nation’s fourth largest search engine with 34 million unique monthly U.S. visitors (comScore, June 2008), is the first and only major search engine to offer a new online service where viewers can find the date, time and channel of any TV show with a simple search.

Ask TV Listings instantly gives consumers the airdates and times of more than 100,000 TV shows across 10,000 channels airing locally within any two-week period. Listing information is the most current available and can be personalized to any location and network or cable provider across the United States.

Ask TV Listings provides answers to searches for specific TV show names, actors or types of programs including comedy, drama and horror. Viewers simply type in a query such as “sports on TV this weekend” or “Angelina Jolie on TV” and they’ll receive instant answers based on their location and local area network and cable providers. The service automatically knows a viewer’s location based on his or her computer’s IP address.
