2008 USA Vs. Turkey: Macao Exhibition Game 1 Highlights

As far as tuneups go, this one couldn't have gone much smoother. Flying across the world and adjusting to playing a game that was played at 8 a.m. ET didn't seem to have any negative effect on the USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team as it shot an eye-opening 70.7 percent from the floor en route to a 114-82 win over Turkey in an exhibition game in Macao, China on Thursday.

The Beijing Olympics are under 10 days away and the United States overcame a sluggish start behind solid efforts from its biggest stars. LeBron James looked fully recovered from an ankle injury suffered in training camp and finished with a team-high 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the floor.

James, Carmelo Anthony (17 points) and Dwight Howard (14 points) all sparkled from the floor, combining for 51 points on 20-of-23 shooting. Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade added 13 points apiece and Chris Paul chipped in with 12.

Cenk Akyol, drafted in the second round by the Hawks in 2005, led Turkey with 22 points. Hedo Turkoglu of the Magic sat out with a back injury.

The 2008 U.S. Olympic team consists of Carmelo Anthony, Carlos Boozer, Chris Bosh, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Tayshaun Prince, Michael Redd, Dwayne Wade, and Deron Williams.

The 2008 U.S. Olympic coaching staff consists of Mike Krzyzewski, Jim Boeheim, Mike D'Antoni, and Nate McMillan.
