      The motor is basically a rocket. (not jet)
      The chemical is Hydrogen Peroxide I believe, not the volume that is used for hair perms or cleaning cuts.
      When released from it's storage, it increases in volume by 700%.
      They used to do exibition runs at a drag strip where I live several years ago, but stopped due to two reasons: If the chemical spilled on the pavement, it would melt the asphalt. The other reason was that the amount of thrust exceeded the weight of the car by a factor of about - 5. Imagine a what would happen if the car's front wheels came off the ground.
      I whitnesses one run of 3.5 seconds and 350 MPH
      I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it twice.

      This is a French guy called Eric toubol. it is a rocket bike and uses the same type of rocket that the lunar landing modules used to blast off from the moon on the Apollo missions. as previously mentioned the fuel is Hydrogen Peroxide. OK he is not as fast as a top fuel car but remember this dude is on a bike and he has to hang on!!!. He runs every easter weekend at the thunderball event at Santa Pod (film is taken there) Northampton UK. I have a little video of him and will post it if i can( under rocket bike)

      I'm not completely sure about that but that's what I thought as soon as I saw this, since not even 4 wheels dragsters don't accelerate that fast. So I've tried to slow it down at half speed, and yes, at 1/2 speed it looks quite a lot more realistic than this.

    They use Hydrogen Peroxide, when released across a screen made of silver it makes thrust. and a LOT of it. They had a car called Vanishing Point. a "Funny Car" style chassis, using this stuff they made quarter mile times that would rival todays Top Fuel Dragsters. BUT........They did it in the early 80's. They are outlawed now because the drivers would blackout and lose control, or at the least bleed from the eyes and ears.

      They were doing 350 MPH in the early 70's at the O.C. California Drag Strip.
      This was about the same time I saw the "Bird Man of Alcatraz "- a hanglider pulled up into the air by a car coming up the drag strip. I'll always remember the quiet before the car began it's run, and I have been hangliding ever since.

    That bike does 1/4 mile slower then a top fuel. Top fuel does it in about 4.44 sec.

    and no it wasnt speeded up.. it was a jet powered bike.. prob a small engine from a helicopter.. other fast bikes include jim mclure.. blown fuel injected drag bike
