The 10SI alternator that I have will not fit inside a 6" pvc pipe, what do I do now, from outside the 4 screw bosses that hold both ends togather measures six and one fourth aprox.

A basic alternator needs high RPMs to put out any voltage. the PM alternator can work at lower RPMs. hope that helps....

Can you explain little more for those who dont know much about electricity. What happens if I use a basic car alternator. Why do you through things out. Why do you use the alternator you did etc. thanks.
