    Most of you people here never grew up on Bruce Lee, Or some of you are only little kids in the late 90's. What right do you have to slam Bruce Lee. All the new age martial arts superstars that you adore so much were heavily influenced by Bruce Lee. Damn I hate ignorant people who cannot appreciate how great or classic this scene is.     you dont know anything about bruce lee or martial arts, i can tell just from your comment. you said that your father learned martial arts from hsi "sensei" sensei is japanese, and bruce lee practiced wing chun a CHINESE martial art. and also if your father learned from him he must of learned in the 1930's which would make you about 50, and thats just weird.

      Ever fight Chuck Norris or Bill Wallace? They were contemporarieswith Bruce. The truth is Bruce never tried to fight in the full contact ring. What was he afraid of?     Slow, old, simple crap from the 70s for people that never saw martial arts. Choriagraphy , especially of the bad guys, is pathetic. Jet Li"s amazing remake is about 1000000 times better in every way. Fitness level of the bad guys is truly laughable, and so is their fighting "skill".

    Bruce Lee was a great man and did a lot for martial arts, but it's stupid to keep posting this pathetic (by today's standards) stuff. It's like admiring the invention of the wheel and dwelling on it, and posting clips of the 1st wheel ever. Time goes on, we got Mercedes now, and we got Jet Li.

      fighting movies have been around for a long time. Just because you haven't seen any other movies except for this stupid watered down primitive crap, geared towards general public, doesn't make this a great movie. Watch Jet Li's remake and some Hong Kong movies that never made it to USA, and then u'll see for yourself. Bruce is not nearly as special as you were always told he is.
      If a car commercial tells you that Toyotta is the best car ever, it means nothing to me, but u'd believe that stupid crap. Bruce was marketed and promoted, he was a hollywood actor with martial arts backround. He was NOT a fighter like Fedor or Sakuraba etc.

    Bruce Lee admitted himself that he couldn't take on 3 well-trained fighters at a time in reality. Nobody could.
    This scene is in tradition of older East Asian movies that always had the hero fight at ridiculous odds and winning (sometimes dying afterwards due to wounds).
    It's a style element and no demonstration of skill.
    It's comparable to Sandra Bullock always getting a boyfriend during her movies - that tells nothing about her private life...

  • No man can take on 30 guys

    with his bare hands. This is just a movie guys, try to enjoy it. Bruce Lee is not trying to make it seem like he can take all of them on in real life, he is just building a plot in this movie.

    This movie is called Chinese Connection I believe. In it, Bruce's martial arts master is poisoned by japanese cooks sent by a local Japanese Karate school. They killed the master because they feared him and the school.

    At the master's funeral, the Japanese show up with a gift. The gift is a sign saying "Sick Man of Asia", which is supposedly an insulting thing in Asia. So this scene follows it where Bruce Lee returns the sign. After beating them all up, including the master at the end after the cut off, he makes 2 japs eat the sign.

    This takes place in the port city of Shiang Hiu I believe, and Japan held great political imperial power in the city. So they try to arrest Bruce Lee, close down the school etc, etc.

    At the end, a bunch of Japs are dead, a russian is dead, and Bruce Lee himself was shot about a dozen times by police officers. What ensued was the Rodney King riot in L.A. (Just kidding).
