Those cars were only good for one thing, accelerating in a straight line. I'll put my stock 380sel 6.3 - yes that's a 6.3 ltr Mercedes V-8 up against any stock big block muscle dinosaur. Let's see, Dodge - alloy intake. Mercedes - alloy heads, intake and pan. Dodge - antique pushrod valvetrain. Mercedes - SOHC valvetrain. Dodge - discs front only. Mercedes - 4 wheel. Dodge - ridged live axle rear. Mercedes - 4 wheel independent. That car looks cool but mine out handles, accelerates and brakes your dinosaur. Same vintage, different pedigrees. Don't be blinded by the muscle car hype. By the way did I mention my 6.3 has adjustable ride height via air suspension? I owned a 70' 440 4bbl(375hp magnum) Charger, it was great for burning rubber(390 posi) but that was about it.......
