two funny cars from poland - "vtg typhoon" and there is a supra with ~1000hp uder the hood at high bost, good car used by its owner everyday (!).

why there is no faster cars ? cus this discipline is young in poland and there is no good dragstrip. events are organized on airport strights.. and this audi can do 9s on this surface!

how would that build boost? we are talking about a turbo here. you are aware as to how a turbo is powered aren't you? yip, it is powered by the exhaust fumes, so cutting the ignition isn't going to build boost.

You can build boost at a dead stop. Rally cars have been doing it for years. You can do it on street cars also. I had it in my eclipse. MSD sells a DIS system that allows you to trick the car that its moving. So when activated, your car bounces on the preset rev limit you set and if you look at your boost guage it will actually show boost instead of the typical vacuum you get at idle.
Anti-lag, (called a Misfiring System in Japan, and a Bang-bang in Europe, due to the popping sounds made when the system is active), is a system used on WRC rally cars to completely eliminate turbo lag. It is a feature of the engine management system. WRC cars are fitted with a class mandated restrictor on the turbocharger inlet and this increases turbo lag significantly. Because of the pressure drop across the restriction, the pressure ratio for a given boost level is much higher and the turbocharger must spin a lot faster to produce the same boost as before.

Anti-lag effectively increases the mass of exhaust fed to the turbocharger. This is typically done by retarding spark timing to a point where most of the combustion happens in the exhaust manifold, typically around 40° ATDC. At the same time more air must be added, this can either be done by the use of a throttle bypass valve or a throttle stop solenoid. When anti-lag is switched on it is typically active when the throttle is closed, and when the throttle is opened the spark timing is resumed to normal.

Exhaust temperatures produced by this system are phenomenal but they can be controlled by varying the amount of fuel injected while anti lag is active; a richer mixture lowers the temperature. Anti-lag is typically only used on race cars because it can shorten the turbocharger service life down to impractical periods for street use. The turbine blade life is drastically reduced, and the entire exhaust system is put into shock, which can lead to explosion or fire. Rally cars generally change turbochargers every chance they get to do so.

i had always thought that when you over reved enough that when that happens, what you guys are calling an rpm limiter, that will do some serious damage to the engine, meaning that when that shitty driver missed second he did hours of work worth of damage to the engine, me not knowing everything about cars and always willing to learn, i had just assumed from simulation racing games (where i learned everything i know about cars today) such as forza motorsport ect. i had always thought that was just extreme over rev and it did that because the engine cannot handle more rpms, am i right or wrong?

By cutting the spark to a cylinder the fuel sent in is not burned, this unburned fuel enters into the exhaust manifold / turbocharger where is is ignited by the hot exhaust gases from the other cylinders. The fuel burning in the exhaust causes the turbocharger to rotate faster reducing lag from a standing start.
Good for track days but destroys your turbine.

do you have any idea about F**king car tuning get a F**king life and do some research please can you do that first of all audi motors never use blow of valves and second of all you can have TURBO BOOST wihtout moving your car so if u dont know anything dont even say anything

And Audi motors do not use blow-off valves.. They use diverter valves which do not vent to the atmosphere, but recirculate extra air back through the motor.

I had a MK3 Toyota Supra turbo for many years. I know all about needing a load on the motor to build boost. That's the reason for killing the spark, to load the motor. Do a little research next time...

Don't mind destrcuto45, he knows nothing. Have you every been to a drag strip and seen street driven supras with over 1000hp to the rear wheels run before? Have you ever seen 900 awhp Porches run before? Those cars have no traction problems and a street driven cars. Traction problems can be eliminated by a properly tuned suspension, tires, balance of weight in car and by tuning the car so you not making full boost at 4000rpm in 1st which will cause you to break traction. Most of the fast cars at the track now increase boost as they change gears. Their engine management sets a boost level for every gear which maximizes their trap speed versus launching on 35pnds boost and have wheel spin all gears.

Maybe your car doesn't sound like a bike, but I hear plenty that do. Different exhausts and levels of tune. will have different tones. Not all bikes sound alike either, jackass. I know enough about cars to know that your mod list isn't total crap, but it could have been ripped off practically ANY Import Tuner article, or from any Hondaboy forum. I believe they are powered by twin-turbo V6's, and the upcoming model will get a V8, I believe. I foollishly assumed that it was an I-4, my bad on that. It was a bit too deep a tone for that, anyway.
