    lets not forget this car was five years old when filmed, and that was one of clarksons old videos from atleast two years back. so its a MIN of seven years old!
    now days 1000bhp is easy to get (as long as you got the money) most bhp i've seen in a skyline is 1300 though i dont look to see if there are faster.

      i guess i'm a jackass then!
      since that would skyline beat the mclaren f1, in a drag! true the f1 has a couple of miles quicker on the topend.
      however it needs to be done on a speed track, since a drag is 1/4 or 1/2 mile either car could not get even close to 200miles so maxing out is not the problem.
      as to beating it on a track i'm not so sure, could go either way, though i think the f1 would hav it on a track

    This skyline's RB26DETT engine could've seen more horsepower crankin out of it, i've seen supra's with 1200 HP and more and skylines can do better. After all it was tuned by JUN, one of the best tuner company and parts maker in Japan. IT's NICEE

    Your buddy with 1200 hp is not getting that from 89 octane at the pump, i can guarantee that, all these people dynoing their cars are putting racing gas with 105 octane, and claiming that as their hp (BULLSH*T if you ask me)

      in the uk we use 90 for normal cars, things like skylines,evos and scooby need to run on 95, can get at almost every pump in britain.
      not sure on the rest but running a evo 4 on anything else will mess the engine(a mate did it to his)

      secondly its about the cars power, true using a higher grade fuel will not give you your normal everyday bhp,but at the same time using lower grade fuel means you not getting its true bhp becouse its held back by the fuel. personally i would want to know the everyday bhp but can see the point of using higher grade

      as i said in my post that clip is atleast 2 years old, fastest skyline in britain not sure but i know of a 1300bhp R33
      though i know thats not the fastest car, theres a vauxhall calibra that does 0-60 in 1.25 according to fast car or max power (cant remember which mag)

    I was talking about the mclaren f1 but still it would beat the slr mclaren skyline does 0-60 in 2.8sec and 0-190 in 12sec top end 234mph that would beat both of them in a strait line and round a track.

      Any supercar ready for the scrap heap will always be more special than a modified mundane family car, no matter what is done to it. Imagine if the F1 had this sort upgrade. Oh wait, they have with ultra-rare and little know F1GTR. Only 28 were built.

      how much is mclaren f1 worth? Oh yeah a million ! How much is gtr not even a quarter of its price. So if the gtr was done up with a quarter of what the mclaren is worth it would woop its behind. Rest my case to all who think they can out do gtr pound for pound.
