Video of a beautiful rope tornado from Lane County, KS on May 23, 2008, shot by TornadoVideos.net storm chasers. This would have been the perfect tornado to deploy our camera probe, but the road network prevented us from getting close. Another TornadoVideos.net live streaming team shot this tornado just 1/2 mile to its west.

    I'm so glad to find this video of this tornado, it was the first twister I recorded on my camcorder just hours after purchasing it. I saw 2 tornadoes the day before in the wakeeney and collier kansas area. I had the same problem with roads on the lane co tornado, you definetly got a closer view than I did. The shot I have is the same veiw as the shot that was taken where the tornado is gray, there were two people videoing this tornado, maybe that was the same who got this shot where I was located. They had the camcoder on a tripod. I was the only other chaser in there location. Good job on this storm!!! Torn80
