Great looking trick. Sold in magic stores and on-line shops everywhere. Variations abound but it's all based on the same idea.
BTW, the "secrets" of magic tricks are dying with the explosion of internet sites like this. There is NOTHING you magic whores can do about it. Just be glad that 99.999% of the population won't see it...
But, soon it will all be over...

you know why? because magic will go into defence mode, and you won't see a magic show on for another few years, and people will create their own effects, and only meet and share them with other magicians, and it will go around magicians with word of mouth, we wont share videos again, and everything will be a complete secret for a while, don't worry, you'll see, this has happened before, you can't extinguish an art, like you can't extingish painting or drawing, you can't put out magic, it will always be there.

the sites and videos aren't exposing the tricks...all you have to do is go into a magic shop. look on magic forums. use your imagination and you can discover the gimmicks used to do the tricks.
that's why the best magicians can't be figured out..they are clever enough to be original and that's why the have the title "magician"

as a magician I'm going to put this out there that this magician was unmasked at one point and litterally banished from the magic world, thats how seriously magicians take exposure of the tricks, he was cut off from the magic world as much as people could cut him off, so please, don't share this, from a magician, it's just not cool, and really lame of you to do it just so people know how it happened, if you knew the real point of magic, you would know why we protect the art, it's for your sake, not ours.

they've already made a new gimmick, it's called the raven x2, and instead of making the coin dissapear, it switches the coin with another, like magic. It's great for parties and all that.

That exposure of magic tricks no matter how old is not cool. How can anyone say this is old and boring when you yourself were astonished and amazed when the coin disappeared completely?
Take the cups and balls routine. It's as ancient as time itself but until now people are still entertained. The key word here is ENTERTAINED.
So if you knew how it's done, you will no longer be ENTERTAINED and it will be just boring.

Although, the coins that are used in many other countries are ferrous (they'll be attracted to a magnet). So, get your hands on a couple of Mexican coins, a few Euros, etc.
And, the gadget featured in the video can easily be made yourself. Just grab one of those retracting pulley-thingamabobs (for keycards, identification cards, keys), a magnet, and a rubber band, and you'll be good to go.592436 - 1
