    is faster than the gallardo and some ferraris, a couple of porsches too, but the gallardo is not the murcielago, is not the enzo, not a carrera gt all of which would smoke it.

      you could build a z06 that would even smoke those flagship lambos and ferraris and whatever else and still save money. Face it, there's definatly more that can/will be done, but everyday the GM guys are making it harder for those italians to sleep at night, haha.

  • this is a 2007 vett and..

    it has a 7.0 liter v8 in it.(505HP, 470TQ) ----where as the lambo has a 5.0 liter v10(520HP, 376TQ) --- now the gallardo might have a few extra ponies...but the vett has almost 100 more foot pounds of torque! -- there is no replacement for displacement!

    hey deleted did you watch the video, I think t did. And the new Zr1 2009 vette set 7 track records and a few of them no production car ever did.At $105-$110 grand the 2009zr1 vette is the best buy fo the uck, and handles greatly. Overall for the last 40+ years the vette has always been he best buy for he buck as far as spors ar, and now that the 09 has reached the supercar staus, it has proven ts worth more, racing 207.4 mph, and doing the quarter mile in 11.3 seconds, which I believed tey said was the fastest quarter mile by any production car EVER. You can find both vids here. you an see the 207.4 run by clicking the words 2009 zr1 corvette tp speed test, and other vids wllshow i winds for that quarter mile test Any other car tat does 207+ will set you back at least 2-3 times as much. I'll take the vette any day

      Do the math brain dead! A gallardo weighs like 750 pounds more and is about 150 foot pounds of torque weaker than the New Z06 vette. Guess you never took physics but in its current state there are only a handful of cars costing upwards of $250,000 that could beat a Z06 in all categories (except for quality and marqee value). Nuff said.Next?

    i have no idea if thats the ZO6, if it was.. it should have been much much faster than the Gallardo, the Z06 is faster than the SLR mclaren even, i'm a fan of german cars, but i must say that the ZO6 is the best sportscar when reffering to $$$.. much cheaper than germans!!

    is stiff, loud, uncomfortable to ride in for any great length of time, and has one of the ugliest plastic interiors ever. It's also cheap (relatively), and most important, goes like cars 3X as much.

      Acceleration comes from the torque an engine produces not its horsepower. Horsepower is related to the top speed of your car. Also the type of race they were doing benefitted the Vette, they were racing while already moving. The Lambo is a 4WD car, while the Vette is RWD. If they had been racing from a standing start, then likely the Vette would've been smoked (literally, from its own tire spinning smoke). Even if the Vette had some form of electronic traction control, it doesn't compare to good old fashioned 4WD traction.

      I have driven both the manual and f1 shift
      the stick shift is very difficult to change up and down the f1 S**t lets the car accelerate like sh*t off a hot shovel

      They have done road tests on both cars. The Gallardo does 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 12.4 seconds at 118 mph. The Vette is 3.6 seconds and 11.7 seconds at 125 mph.

      The Z06 Vette out accellerates a Gallardo. And it does it for $100,000 less money. It ain't the drivers, it ain't fake. Deal with it.
