I saw this episode and the tarantula didnt put up a fight cuz it had just finished molting and didnt have enough energy to fight back.

I know for a fact that if the tarantula was ambushing the centipede, it would have won too. There was a documentry where a tarantula ambushed a snake much larger than itself and killed it.
