who is being harrassed by the media you will understand why handlers might keep you on the campaign trail and not let you talk to the people who have been so crappy toward you. Perhaps you would not want to go out and talk to them. Or perhaps you're right and the good old boys kept her in the kitchen...but at least our good ol boys put her on the ticket instead of dumping her for an unknown like Obama and a gaff-machine VP choice. If Palin was a plain-jane pro-choice democrat you all would say she is brilliant....but oops, your plain-jane pro-choice female got screwed over by her own party in favor of that socialist in sheeps clothing. The fact that he is up in the poles is an indication that at this point in history...over 50% of the people are tired of actually being responsible for their own lives and need the government to make things all better.

you know tons of people getting medicaid and other forms of government aid....I do too. I on the otherhand, being conservative, don't believe in those things. I work for a living, have worked all my life, put myself through school, and have been self employed for over 25 years and employed up to 24 other people at one point. I have a gay sister who is married to a great woman and I love and respent them both and don't give a rats ass if they're married, and I give tons of money to charities every year. What I don't like is mandated giving and I want the government to quit wasting my money by giving it to people who simply don't want to work unless they start out getting $30 per hour for digging ditches (and usually they don't want the hard work so let's just let illegals do those jobs). Giving makes people lazy...it doesn't tide them over until things get better, and it doesn't tide them over while they better themselves and get a job...it makes them sit back and getg lazy, which is why Obama is so popular. I heard Obama say that people have forgotten what it means to sacrifice, but I say that my having to pay more taxes to give health care to people who were raised in poverty and are happy to live that way and teach their kids to live that way is not what what is meant by "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." My idea of sacrifice is that people do like I did and get good grades and go to whatever college will take them then get out into the work force and earn your place in the world. I don't need rich people to pay more taxes in order to make things more fair for me. What I need is for people to take responsibility for themselves and quit thinking that life owes them something. Don't get a great car? Fine drive a piece of junk. Don't live in the biggest house in the area? Fine, get a house you can afford even if it means renting. Don't get a big screen and all the electronic toys there are on the market? Well that's tough, and it doesn't mean I want to level the playing field by making my life easier through handouts. I am just frustrated 1963, so I will appologize for my rants as you call them. Just know that I want good things for all people and want all people to find love in whatever form works best for them....very liberal I know....but I also know that I have missed most of my kids younger years because I was out working my butt to the bone for them, and I am sick of Politicians like Obama buying votes by telling the poor and middle class what sort of things he will do for them. He won't do S**t , and if he does the consequences will come along eventually...and the reason is because the government cannot EVER do anything right, and that includes republicans. That leaves me with 2 choices for my politics....more or less government, and if a true conservative (fiscally) would get into office I would be a happy man.
